Kristen Brooks Sandler is an international choreographer &. movement director based out of NYC. Her work can be seen on the screen and stage, creating for every medium from Oklahoma! to Nickelodeon.

 

A proud queer choreographer, Kristen is committed to physical story telling that is simultaneously accessible and thought provoking. She believes that movement is a universal language that can bridge the gap between audience and artistry.

In the work with her dance company, Thistle Dance Inc, Kristen explores known stories through overlooked lenses. Her movement takes inspiration from all things “ooky spooky” and has been described as both mischievous and menacing. By employing narrative along with an avant-garde aesthetic, she believes any topic can be uniquely explored and discussed.
